| Abstract | Two metallo-rotaxane complexes, assemble when the macrocyclic phenanthroline and Cu+ or Zn2+ ions are combined in CH2Cl2. Anodic electrochem. polymn. produce the corresponding polymetallorotaxanes. Electrochem. investigations indicate that the conductivities of the polymers exhibit redox-like profiles. It was demonstrated that the polyrotaxane structure reversibly bind Zn2+ ions, thereby confirming the potential of the structures as sensory materials. [on SciFinder(R)] |
